I am moving. Likely destination: http://obligateaerobe.deadjournal.com/

[EDIT] You will probably only care if you know me in real life and want to keep reading my terribly infrequent entries! I will keep reading your interesting journals regardless.

likely, as in, it may be that or something else?

Could be something else as well. Long term plan is to keep my data private somewhere, well, private, and post rss feeds of more public items.

However I do intend to keep reading all my friends here, via rss or in some other manner.

you wouldn't be able to read friends-only posts via rss, would you?

We'll probably keep these accounts to read friends, but I don't want to keep posting private stuff to russian sup. I got deadjournal now too - will be moving older entries there. Should have some invites for it soon :)

I know but I don't care. I'm here and they are there. It's too much like "conspiracy theory" or "aliens amongst us" :) I don't think that they can do any harm to me.

No, it's a matter of consumer preference.

It's not technical, it's dealing with a company that you like or don't like (or support)

it's too "political" for me. :)

I think it's because I don't think "globally". It works for me. They can't do any harm to me. It's comfortable so far. It would be too much hassle for me to do anything to change it. So I don't care.

(sorry to butt in - what is SUP, please? *puzzled* I thought 6A had bought Lj awhile back - bad enough...)

SUP is a company based in Russia, that just bought LJ from 6A. We had initial annoying encounter with them when they unilaterally annexed all cyrillic-typing LJ users in their "Russian user base" - took a lot of angry support e-mails to get dis-entangled. I write in Russian sometimes, but I'm not interested in Russia-oriented services. Now they'll be maintaining LJ for everybody.

Oh damn... I see, thank you very much for explaining! I have a few Russian-writing people in my flist but they haven´t posted about this yet - I had no idea, and I share your concerns (I´m Spanish-Hungarian, by the way).

no problem :) Nice to (virtually) meet you. Note that the dog in my and this LJ owner's userpics is the same dog :)

*shakes virtual hands* Ócheny priátna! Belgian Shepherd, isn´t it? Gorgeous! I have a cannibla terrorist at home posing as a Labrador :p

I am still interested in private posts, so I will research a solution to allow aggregation of said posts.

Will post technical details once I have 'em.

Okay, I´ll keep up with your entries that way then :)

BTW, a Lj lady on my flist here just commented my whole Lj has been X-rated. I never post anything not worksafe or even mildly explicit, nor swearwords or profanity. Do you know of other people to whom this has happened, and what´s going on...?

From: [identity profile] obligateaerobe.livejournal.com
Now that you mention it: to see a picture Richelieu's head I had to click through link that stated "contents not safe for children". Or something along those lines.

Could this be it?

From: [identity profile] max-und-moritz.livejournal.com
Really!? Oh dear. How come Lj considers posting a pic of Warwhore child-friendly then? *g*

This is very strange indeed, thank you for letting me know! I never post anything not worksafe, i.e. obscene, offensive, blasphemous, profane or explicit, before or now, so I have absolutely no idea what´s going on, unless Lj admins have decided to go even more anatomically not adequately leveraged and just X-rated people randomly (????) has it happened to other journals in your f-list too, by chance? I´m checking my own flist right now, just in case...

Huh. "The content that you are about to view could contain adult concepts which may not be suitable for minors. To continue, you must confirm that you are at least 14 years of age."

This is when I try to look at your lj by clicking at your username. Very odd!

Oh my. I think I´m going to follow your example and move elsewhere too. I´ve been meaning to set up my real, no-gloves diary again as soon as Codexed (the successor of the ill-fated and much-missed Diary-X site) is up, but we old D-xers have been waiting for two years for this to happen and 6A is getting more and more user-unfriendly by the day :/

It is a rather sad state of affairs, really. If you do go, post your whereabouts!
